We are delighted to share with you two recent news articles about our farm. The first one is a beautifully written piece in the March issue of the Richmond Magazine by staff writer Anne Dreyfuss. Her article titled “A Growing Generation” explores the region’s young farmers who “are redefining the Central Virginia landscape and changing the way we think about food”. Your food grower Alistar is featured in the article, along with a handful other extraordinary young pioneers. The article is only available in the print issue of the magazine. Get your copy at your favorite store, or wherever good books and magazines are sold!

The second article is a wonderful post on the local green grocer, Ellwood Thompson’s, website of an interview with your farmer. Miles Quillen, Ellwoods’ creative director interviewed Alistar and took some really cool photos of the farm! Read the interview here. A big thank you to all who came out and worked hard to give back to their community. Another big thank you to our staff members, Cameron Carter and Alistar Harris, who helped setup, answer questions, wash veggies, and clean up after a great day. We were joined by Karen Stanley, Executive Directo of CARITAS/The Healing Place, John Dougherty, Vice President of Business Development for the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls, and Penny from the Neighborhood Resource Center, all of whom took bags and bags of goodies back for their groups. Gina took another big load on Monday morning to the Central Virginia Food Bank.

We hope everyone who attended found it a beneficial experience. We certainly couldn’t have asked for a better day!
