Peppers! So many fruits of summer to enjoy now!  And peppers are one of the best candidates for freezing so get out your freezer bags, chop off the stem end, remove the seeds, and pop them in the freezer to enjoy this winter in soups, stews, stir frys, omelettes, quiches, juices, etc

The farmhouse project has been on hold most of the summer while we harvest and distribute a bounty of veggies through our Urban Farmstand and the various specialty stores and restaurants that once again feature Victory Farms produce.  We will get back on track soon, though, and hope to have some serious progress by fall so we can think about a big fall celebration at the farm!

Meanwhile, we are getting Mae ready to go to college (Hollins University in Roanoke) and Conor ready for high school (Open High in Oregon Hill) while watching our latest addition grow rapidly.  Betty, as I think we've finally decided on, is a precious little kitten rescued at the farm at the end of July.  Our German Shepherd Sadie has become the doggie mamma and we are all enjoying the energy of this crazy kitty!
