Do you live in the Richmond, Virginia area? Do you want the freshest, most beautiful, naturally grown local produce around? Join our CSA and enjoy the bounty that comes from our farm in Hanover!

Our 2010 CSA season began April 15th at the 17th Street Farmers Market and the excitement continues with the May 1st opening of the South of the James Market in Forest Hill Park and May 4th with the North of the James Market in Bryan Park. We have dropped the 17th Street location, however, and will now have a booth at the new Monument Market on Monument and Robinson in the Fan starting May 8th.

We have reached our 400 member maximum! Anyone interested may email us to be added to the new waiting list and we'll let you know if a space becomes available for 2010!

Remember: we do sell to non-members at the markets too!

Email victoryfarms@comcast.net to get on the wait list! (Please email rather than filling out the application)

CSA's are managed in a variety of ways. We use a more flexible debit system. You pre-pay $500 or $350 as your starting credit to be used at your own pace throughout the 20+-week season. After you use up your credit or the season ends, whichever comes first, you will then receive 20% off all purchases from us.

Members get the end-of-season discount as well as additional discounts for specials, bulk buying and opportunities for varieties not available to the general public. Central pickup locations and new checkout procedures provide additional time-saving benefits. Access to the farmer at the market and at the farm during member's only tours links you directly with who's growing your vegetables. A monthly newsletter with farm information and recipes is another great benefit.

$500
or $350 for 2010 season

Typical items CSA members can choose from include salad mix, carrots, onions, radishes, spinach, arugula, head lettuce, turnips, herbs, swiss chard, kale and other cooking greens, heirloom and cherry-size tomatoes, melons, beets, cucumbers, summer squash, winter squash, garlic, peppers, cabbage, broccoli, green beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, sugar snap peas, etc., with seasonal variation.

Our prices are comparable - if not better - than even chain grocery stores, so you're CSA credit will get you a great selection of items throughout the season!

As a CSA member, you're getting great value for the money. A 2007 CSA member compared her share on a weekly basis to what she could have bought at a local natural food market and realized she saved a minimum of $600 for the season by being a CSA member! Additionally, she noted her veggies were fresher and of higher quality.

The CSA provides a great opportunity to receive a weekly supply of fresh, local, unconventional, Certified Naturally Grown produce that is full of both variety and taste. You’ll also receive recipe and preparation tips to help you get the most out of your share.
